Bixby Introduces Moldable Plastic Sheet That Forms Under Hot Water, Has High Modulus

NEWBURYPORT, MA–(Marketwire – Jan 15, 2013) – Bixby International Corp. has introduced a new, moldable plastic sheet that can be heated under tap water or hot air and shaped or formed around an object, and then hardens up to a half million flex modulus.

BixFormT HiMod Moldable Plastic Sheet is formable under 170 degree tap water or by using hot air and can be formulated to achieve up to a half million flex modulus. Available in thicknesses ranging from 10 mil to 200 mil, it can be extruded in any OEM color and incorporate multiple layers including surface treatments such as foams, felts, fabrics, printing, and various adhesives.

Offered in sizes up to 6′W x 8′L, BixFormT HiMod Moldable Plastic Sheet can be modified to OEM specifications relative to construction and flex modulus. This proprietary heat moldable plastic sheet can eliminate thermoforming in some applications and is capable of being reheated and reshaped repeatedly. Applications include recreation equipment and industrial packaging.
