Abeer Syal, MD, Orthopedic Surgeon, to be Published in the Leading Physicians of the World as New Member of the International Association of HealthCare Professionals

With an upcoming publication in the Leading Physicians of the World, Abeer Syal, MD, joins the prestigious ranks of the International Association of HealthCare Professionals. Dr. Syal is an orthopedic surgeon who is currently maintaining his own private practice, Dr. Abeer Syal Inc, a clinic offering orthopedic medical solutions to patients of all ages, located in Langley, British Columbia. With over six years of experience, he is additionally affiliated with the Lancrey Memorial Hospital and Langley Surgical Center, also both located in British Columbia.

Dr. Syal earned his Bachelor of Science degree at Cumberland University in Tennessee, and is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario School of Medicine in London, Ontario in 2003. He completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 2008 and completed a fellowship at the University of British Columbia in Reconstructive Arthroscopic Surgery & Joint Preservation in Vancouver, BC in 2009. He worked throughout Canada from 2009 to 2011 as a locum orthopaedic surgeon, gaining work experience and expertise in orthopaedic trauma, arthroscopy, and arthroplasty surgery.

As a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada, he is an active member of the Canadian Orthopaedic Association, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the Canadian Medical Association, and the Doctors of BC (BCMA). Dr. Syal is currently the Division Head of Orthopaedics and is an active staff member in the Department of Surgery. In addition to general orthopaedic surgery Dr. Syal has subspecialty interest and expertise in sports medicine with arthroscopic reconstructive surgery of the knee & shoulder, upper extremity trauma surgery, knee & shoulder joint replacement, and regenerative orthopaedics.

Attributing his success to his excellent training and experience inspired by his mentors, and his ability to empathize with his patients, Dr. Syal is able to offer compassionate care for a wide range of individuals. When he is not seeing patients, he enjoys playing tennis and spending time with his friends and family members.
