Shawnee on Delaware, Pennsylvania – Glamping – camping for the glamorous outdoorsman in you. After an awesome sold out 2015 season of glamorous camping at The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort, brand new riverside tents kick off the 2016 season. This new luxurious trend of roughing it without actually roughing it gives guests the best of both worlds. Fully furnished, beautiful tents pitched on riverside platforms allow the feeling of staying in a luxury hotel room with the ability to step outside into the great outdoors. Choose riverside glamping or island glamping; either way, expect a one of a kind experience.

Located on an island in the middle of the Delaware River, Shawnee Island Glamping accommodates guests seeking luxury and the ambiance of the outdoors. Experience Shawnee Island Glamping in a 210 Square foot tent pitched on a 20×20 wooden platform, including one queen bed and a sleeper sofa for one or two. Arriving at these luxury sites requires a back-to-nature experience as guests embark on a 20-minute paddle. Enjoy included breakfast served between 7am – 8:30am by a camping attendant who accompanies island glamping guests during their stay. Night time activities center around a common fire pit and include refreshments until 11pm. The next morning glampers depart the island by optional downstream paddle or van at 10:00am.

Looking for something less itinerary based? Riverside glamping might be the ticket. Shawnee recently added two new beautiful glamping tents overlooking the nationally designated Wild and Scenic Delaware River, which allow glampers to come and go as they please. Enjoy a morning cup of joe on your glamping deck and soak in the serene river view before heading to the Inn for breakfast. Riverside glamping allows a different yet equally luxurious experience.

The island location glamping site consists of four separate glamping tents while the riverside location houses two. Glamping includes high speed Wi-Fi, electricity, shared men and women’s restrooms with access to showers, hammocks and a communal campfire.
