These particles can lodge in the deepest part of your lungs; and over a period of time, they can damage lung function.

So you want us to trust this one doctor and not other doctors because…
To protect my lungs and sinuses, I take a level measuring teaspoon (1 gram) of quercetin dihydrate mornings from BulkSupplements.
Since the ears are only a few inches from the sinuses, I would not be surprised if quercetin also protects and restores the hearing.
I also find it necessary to thin and liquefy lung and sinus by taking a rounded 1/2 teaspoon of the 14 herb Mrs. Dash Table Blend (MDTB) seasoning from Walmart in the 6.75 oz bottle which lasts over 3 months. It takes about 2 weeks to start thinning mucus so it can be coughed up easier. It’s probably the expectorant herbs like oregano and thyme in the seasoning that thin the mucus, but I have taken this seasoning for decades. A few years ago, I had laryngitis and couldn’t clear my throat so I restarted taking the MDTB seasoning and my throat cleared the same day.
Increasing the dose doesn’t seem to increase the results.
I actually take a level iced teaspoon full because it is 7 inches long and dips into the bottle easier.
I like cheese and dairy, but increasing dairy intake can increase mucus formation so sometimes I decrease dairy intake.
I have every reason to think that quercetin might protect the respiratory system against most any atmospheric contaminants like air pollution or chemtrails.
