A note about Tuli Greenland
Back in the 1970s early eighties I knew several rambunctious Airmen who got in minor trouble for fighting or public drunkenness. Nothing too bad but enough to get formal reprimands. While we all had pretty secure classifications and huge training costs associated with our specialties an Unfavorable Info File pretty much ends your career.
here was an unwritten fear that you would end up in Greenland if you messed up.
I saw a couple of these guys leave as hardass types with chips on their shoulders to 3 years later run into them again. These guys become completely tame into knitting and scrap booking and arts and crafts.
Really profound changes in demeanor scary as hell we never bother to ask what happened up there because of clearance and all.
I know that they rinsed out myself and some of my team mates after missions mainly for our own sanity but these guys seemed totally washed pressed and dried the complete brain laundry.
