Enemies of Jesus Christ : Religious Biblical Fundamentalists

Jesus was a Hebrew subversive who pointedly believed less in the letter of the law, than he did the spirit of the law; this infuriated religiously rigid empowered Jews who instead believed that every single, solitary, individual word should absolutely be observed.

Such textual rigidity and narrowness perversely remains to this day, robbing religious adherents of love for the very people Christ chose to minister to: the poor, the diseased and crippled, criminal outcasts, the demonically possessed, and of this I am sure, even homosexuals and lesbians whose love seemingly violated the borders of the letter of the law and thus were very unloved by rigid others.

Jesus repeatedly mentioned the words of the Old Testament when he addressed these rigid adherents to teach them love of others, in allegories, to establish a new spirit of the law, rather than the mere letter of the law, to teach a sense of flexibility and always within a context of love.

Anyone who states that Christ verified Biblical truths by His repeating them, is missing insight that religious rigidity was Jesus’ enemy.

Thus, when Jesus purposefully assisted a man in bringing in his crops, on a Sabbath, religious fury erupted.

When Christ insisted that we love and feed and aid the crippled and the ill he also violated the letter of the law.

The Old Testament asserts in law that no disfigured person, cripple or any person with any illness shall ever set foot to enter the Temple within.

Christ (Christos, from Greek, means,’chosen one’) ministered to the ill, the disfigured, the downtrodden, the prostitutes and the scorned.

These tenets enraged the rigidly religious.

Jesus Christ who came to Earth to free us from the awful letters of the law, sees Christians, adherents in His name, only, insisting on and clinging to these self-same rigid, unloving laws.

 If the Bible is to be believed, then the greatest enemy of Jesus is the religious.

 The denial of Christ’s message of LOVE by Bible religious Christians, who claim to love Jesus, but who ignore and refute His core message, is an unforgivable venial sin to the eyes of God..

. I often believe that such fundamentalist religious Christians, very strict Biblical adherents, are inspired to be especially unlike Christ, by the Devil, himself.

What better way can be found to defeat Jesus Christ and His message of unconditional love for others, than to have his name firmly attached to a hateful and unloving group of severe O.T. Biblical adherents ? 

Let your faith in God be strengthened, and not diminished, by this, the Devil’s work.
