Exorcism to Air on Live TV

Destination America will air it on Oct. 30, just in time for Halloween.

Destination America is set to make what it’s calling “TV history” this Halloween.

The Discovery-owned cable network will air what it’s deeming the first live televised exorcism in U.S. history on Friday, Oct. 30, at 9 p.m.

The cable network will revisit the story and house that inspiredThe Exorcist on the 66th anniversary of the original ritual. The live event will take place at the “Exorcist House” in the suburbs of St. Louis where the ritual was performed onRoland Doe in 1949. The cabler says, “No one has ever attempted to rid the lurking spirits and demons that inhabit this home — until now.”

Exorcism: Live! will feature the cast of Ghost Asylum, the Tennessee Wraith Chasers and psychic medium Chip Coffey. The team will explore the home, from the attic to the basement, to find “whatever or whomever has scared Americans to death for decades.” The ghost-hunting team will use state-of-the-art technology to do daytime and nighttime investigations, documenting as much evidence as it can of these true-life demonic entities on live TV.
