THE BEST Christmas story, or Hanukkah...

For many people around the world the holiday season is at the door or has just begun. Many call it Christmas, others call it Hanukkah and those that want to remain ‘inclusive’ and non-offensive just call it the holiday season.
You may think about the birth of Christ and imagine the nativity scene and Bethlehem’s star. Or maybe you remember the miracle of the eight days of light. Or you like the decorations, the tree, Santa, sleigh bells and snow… Or then again, maybe none of all of this and you just want to have a good time with friends and family…perhaps peace on earth…
And then there are those who just can’t wait until it is all over.

No matter in what category you fall it is good to know what it is actually all about; it is not just good, but it is vital to know.
The origin is not to be found in the Catholic church or in Judaic traditions but traces back much further. About 3,900 years ago when God put His fingerprint on a little area just north of Bethlehem, already foreshadowing something great to happen almost two millennia later. Imagine that that was as far before Christ as we live after. Then about 400 years later on the same plot of land the story continues.
Note that there were no synagogues yet, no churches, Islam wouldn’t even come into existence until over 2000 years later. It was just God, and men, and history progressing. History…’His story’… And if you don’t know his-story you know nothing.
