Introduction Note: Yahwism and Israelism are both terms that refer to the same Biblical belief. This belief accepts the Hebrew Moses’ understanding (and belief) in one Almighty Sovereign Creator of the Universe. The term ‘Israelism’ (for this belief) is used more often by believers who are not comfortable to describe this belief with a term that uses the name ‘Yah’ short form for YHWH (the name of the Almighty) as does ‘Yahwism’ especially when speaking to unbelievers. In Exodus 3:15, however, we read that the name of the Almighty was also to be a memorial to all generations. In other words, the name of our Almighty Sovereign Creator (Yah/Yahweh) should not be hidden. However, we must never misuse the name of the Almighty Sovereign Creator Power, the Life-Force Essence of all that exists, and always use prudence. For “you shall not take the name of Yahweh your Mighty-one in vain: for Yahweh will not hold him guiltless that takes His name in vain.” Deu. 5:11. Yahwism/Israelism is the belief in and worship of the Almighty Sovereign Creator Power, the Life-Force Essence that was revealed to Ancient Israel by Moses in the Hebrew Bible. It is a pure monotheistic belief in ONE True Almighty Sovereign as asked by this Almighty from the ancient Biblical Israelites through His inspiration found in the Hebrew Bible to His proven and anointed prophets. Yahwism was distinct from the polytheism of pagan nations and is also NOT Judaism. The name Yahwism comes from YHWH the Hebrew name of this Almighty. The English transliteration is “Yahweh.” Note: this name is NOT pronounced as Yah-way. This is the Almighty’s covenant name given to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob/Israel and Moses (Exodus 3:15-16). Yahweh is the Original Originator ‘God’ of everything existing. His name means He-Is, He-Exists, or Ever-Living. Yahweh is the only name for the Almighty Sovereign that Yahwists (believers in Yahweh) i.e. the ancient Israelites were to accept as the personal proper name for their Almighty. Yahwists reject substitute names like God, Jehovah, or Lord because all are false names. Yahwists use the Hebrew name Yahshua (not Jesus) as the proper name for the prophet in the Greek writings. The name Yahshua means “YHWH is Savior” or ‘YHWH Saves’ in Hebrew. The very name of Yahshua reflects the prophet’s mission.

Yahwists believe that the Hebrew Bible (except for folk-tales like Daniel, Esther, Ruth, Job, Jonah, etc.) ‘Contain’ the authoritative inspired words of the proven and anointed prophets of the Almighty for righteous living to and for Adam-man. Yahwists accept the principles of the Synoptic Gospels taught by the Prophet Yahshua, as is also found in the epistle of James and quoted Greek Testament statements that follow the Hebrew Bible. Yahwists do not accept the Gospel of John or opinions of Paul/Saul as authoritative, or as inspired. The Gospel of John, a second century document by unknown authors, fabricates the Prophet Yahshua into a god-man equal with Yahweh and promotes human sacrifice (that Yahweh condemns) and other false Doctrines. The Pharisee Paul/Saul was never a chosen disciple, (Acts 1:23-26) but an impostor, a ‘want-to-be’ self-claimed Apostle. Yahwists believe that most religious writings are human attempts to understand ‘God’ and often change inspired Biblical words by adding their own opinions, beliefs, and conjectures to fit, all without having been inspired by Yahweh. Yahwists reject Judaism, their Talmud, their Kabala, and their Jewish oral Laws, Yahwists basically reject all man-made religions and additions or Doctrines that add to or change the applicable life principles, moral standards and worship identity of the Almighty Sovereign Yahweh, named, found, and presented throughout the writings of the chosen Prophets of the Hebrew Bible.

Yahwists sometimes refer to Yahwism as “Israelism” and to themselves as “True” Israelites. Anyone who calls upon the Almighty using “God” as a name, (since the word god is generic), or who prays to so called saints, or other humans, dead or alive, (like Jesus) or who accepts the oral traditions or false doctrines of men have bought into pagan beliefs. Christianity, Judaism, and other similar religions have become deceptive by accommodating pagan beliefs, and by following man-made ‘controlling traditions’ and uninspired Biblical works.

Yahwism rejects the doctrine of the Trinity as pagan. The Hebrew Bible teaches that Yahweh is ONE. Yahweh cannot be ‘divided’ into persons, entities, or beings. Yahweh is a pure (non-physical) Life-Force Essence that fills His entire Created and Eternal Universe, basically all that exists. Yahwists believe in strict monotheism, that Yahweh is ONE (Deut. 6:4). Yahwism teaches that Yahshua honored and used the Hebrew Bible and taught from it as an appointed true teacher of Yahwism. Yahshua was not divine in any way, and he never claimed to be. He did not die for anyone’s sins since human sacrifice is forbidden by Yahweh (Psalm 106: 37-40 et al). Yahwists believe that all communication to man recorded in the Hebrew Bible came through Yahweh’s appointed created agents (the angels, prophets, i.e. the messengers) so that homage given to any of them is always directed to Yahweh Himself.

Yahwism teaches that salvation comes only by Yahweh’s mercy through His renewed covenant (now internal) by righteous living according to the principles established first in the Hebrew Bible. Yahwists deny that Jesus is the Savior or Redeemer. The Bible teaches that only Yahweh is the Savior and our true Redeemer (Isaiah 43:10-11).

Yahwism rejects the concept of a progressive revelation. The idea of ‘progressive revelation’ is simply a ploy used to justify all kinds of additions, revisions, and changes to the revealed inspired word of Yahweh as found only in the Hebrew Bible. Yahwists believe that all newer religions like Islam, Mormonism, Christianity, and others, all depend upon some ‘new unverifiable revelation’ in order to appear valid to susceptible ignorant people. Only Israelism/Yahwism (the belief) is true to the Hebrew Bible, to the Almighty of the ancient Israelites. Yahwism tests the Prophets. Yahweh does not change; He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Yahwism is the foundational belief for all Yahwists as it was for Yahshua, the messiah of the Greek Testament Synoptic writings.
