The above is a mosaic, photographed by Mars rover Curiosity on Sol 3113 with the right side Mast Camera on Mont Mercou.

The mosaic shows weathered engineered wood. Red arrows point to remains of wood cells. The protrusions contain wood cell remains.

Note 1: Martian wood cells are the sizes of sand grains (see https://www.flickr.com/photos/fossil_lin/48029020101/in/album-72157709445830701/ ). However, no sand grains have the shapes of wood cells. Air or wind or water does not form the shapes of individual wood cells (see https://www.flickr.com/photos/fossil_lin/51038835072/in/dateposted-public/).

Note 2: Complex organic molecules are all over Mars (see http://wretchfossil.blogspot.com/2021/02/nasa-mars-is-covered-with-complex.html?q=fox+news ).

Geological instruments cannot detect complex organic molecules.
