How to make a DIY Rocket Stove from two tin cans

We love Rocket Stoves! They’re easy to make and work so well because it doesn’t take a lot of fuel to cook a meal. There are 3 main ways a rocket stove is used, 1. as a source to cook, 2. a heating source and 3. a water heating source. There are many different DIY designs for a rocket stove on the web as well as applications if you’re looking to make on yourself. (Check the links at the bottom of this post for a few). But of all the rocket stoves we have shared for cooking, we really like this design from Prepared-housewives.com using two cans for its simplicity and portability.  Depending on your needs this design may not be suitable.

So  some of you might ask, “what is a Rocket Stove and how does it work?”  According to Wikipedia, A rocket stove is an efficient cooking stove using small diameter wood fuel which is burned in a simple high-temperature combustion chamber containing an insulated vertical chimney which ensures complete combustion prior to the flames reaching the cooking surface.
