Doggy TV

Our rental house has four windows in the living room, three of which face an alleyway next to the house. The windows are covered with blinds.

On the left, you can see where I set up my laptop on top a stand. (It’s a makeshift standing desk. I never sit while working on the computer.)

Anyway, Mr. Darcy has been bewildered by this house where he can’t see out the windows. In our old place, he was always monitoring the situation outdoors through the glass doors, but that’s not the case here. Nor does he have a yard where he could go out and bark, sniff, and oversee his domain.

So — duh — we moved aside one of the chairs and opened the blinds, and that became his special observation post. It’s like Doggy TV. He’s hooked.

He sees squirrels, cats, and the occasional person.

In the morning, when he wants to “watch TV,” he gives us distinct hints.

Then we’ll move aside the chair, open the blinds, and let him view the world.

Yep, Doggy TV.
