Pagan Eye: A Sussex Beach, Sea and Sky at Dusk

This was the view as I walked along a beach in Sussex yesterday evening at dusk with my husband. He took this photo with his phone as I didn’t have my camera with me.

The sun was setting over the harbour behind us and the nearly full moon was rising in front of us. You can just make out the moon in the top left of the picture – it looked larger in real life.

Although the photo doesn’t quite capture the beautiful quality of the light and the shades of pink and pale blue reflected in the sea from the twilight sky, it does give a slight impression of it. It felt like a time and place where wishes made were likely to come true.
