Pagan Eye: The Rodin Exhibition at the British Museum

Do go and see the Rodin and the Art of Ancient Greece exhibition at the British Museum if you are in London and haven’t seen it already. It is quite stunning. The photo at the top shows a view of the first room in the exhibition. You can see a cast of Rodin’s most famous work, The Kiss, in the background and his head of Athena at the front.

I popped in to the British Museum on Thursday afternoon, when I was up in London before going to hear Professor Ronald Hutton give a talk about village witchcraft. Now for a shameless name-drop – at the museum I bumped into Professor Hutton, who was having tea with Witchcraft Museum photographer Sara Hannant in the members’ room.

I said: “Hello. I’m going to your talk later.”

He replied with dry wit: “What a coincidence. So am I.”
