Monaco Grand Prix 2010 Revised Positions
Monaco Grand Prix revised positions following a Stewards enquiry at Monte Carlo, Monaco on Sunday 16th May 2010.
Immediately after the Monaco Grand Prix podium celebrations, racing driver Michael Schumacher and Mercedes Team were confident of their last lap overtaking manuvre under Safety Car conditions that led to securing 6th position over Alonso.
Following a stewards enquiry Schumacher was handed a 20-second penalty which sent him from sixth place to a final position of 12th. The stewards confirmed that article rule 40.13: “If the race ends whilst the safety car is deployed it will enter the pitlane at the end of the last lap and the cars will take the chequered flag as normal without overtaking.”
With this decision, Fernando Alonso (Ferrari) will regain sixth position and stay within just three points of the Red Bull Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber – winner of the 2010 Monaco Grand Prix.
This was the first penalty of any significance issued by the FIA stewards during the season so far.

7. Nico Rosberg Mercedes GP +6.6 secs
8. Adrian Sutil Force India-Mercedes +6.9 secs
9. Vitantonio Liuzzi +7.3 secs
10. Sebastien Buemi STR-Ferrari +8.1 secs
