Fantasy Football Playoff TE Rankings (Championship Game Round)

Here are my fantasy tight end rankings for the Championship Game Round of the playoffs:

1. Julius Thomas, Denver Broncos (vs. NE)

Although he missed a couple of games, the breakout tight end had at least three receptions in every game he played this season. While he and Vernon Davis are clearly the top two tight ends left in the playoffs, Thomas is the more consistent of the two, but he has as much upside.

2. Vernon Davis, San Francisco 49ers (at SEA)

Davis had only one catch for one yard on Sunday, but he made the most of that reception, which was initially ruled incomplete. Davis has now scored in three consecutive games and in eight of his past nine games.

In seven career playoff games, Davis has 25 receptions for 584 yards and seven touchdowns. He has either reached 100 yards or scored a touchdown in six of his seven playoff games.

3. Zach Miller, Seattle Seahawks (vs. SF)

Miller’s numbers with the Seahawks over the past three seasons are roughly half of what his production was in his days with the Raiders and he finished with 33 receptions for 387 yards and five touchdowns. In two games against the 49ers this season, Miller had 2/22 and 1/13.

4. Michael Hoomanawanui, New England Patriots (at DEN)

Even with Rob Gronkowski missing most of the season, Hoomanawanui has more than one reception in only two games this season. It’s hard to expect more than that here, but the Broncos allowed the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends this season.

5. Luke Willson, Seattle Seahawks (vs. SF)

In the second of two matchups against the Niners, Willson had his best game of the season: 3/70/1 and 13 fantasy points.
