Cowboys Look to Make an Impact in 2021 with New Look Young Roster

It was a tough 2020 for the Cowboys, as the team struggled to a mark of 6-10, but the NFC East is a division that really no one ran away with, and despite the issues Dallas actually was competitive for part of the season.

The team is hopeful that they can rebound in 2021, using a returning quarterback in Dak Prescott, who is expected to be ready to go for the team’s OTA’s.

Look for the Cowboys to be overall better, and for the team to challenge the best in the NFC.

While there’s a number of great matchups on the Cowboys slate, including divisional games vs Washington, the Eagles and Giants, the team also has a number of great games, home and away to look forward to.

Here are the 3 matchups that I’m most looking forward to:

9/9 at Tampa BayDak – We all know the history of the opening NFL game of the season, it’s usually the home team’s edge, and this year it’s almost a for sure that that will be the case. With Tom Brady looking to pick apart the Cowboys and Dak Prescott throwing all over the field, the Cowboys could pull off the upset.

10/3 vs Carolina – The Cowboys and Panthers have had some solid games in the regular and post season in the past, and this year should be another knock-down drag down affair. Carolina right now has Sam Darnold ready to be their QB starter, but it wouldn’t be a shock to see more QB’s get chances in the 2021 season.

11/21 at Kansas City – Dallas’ secondary is going to be tested like no other, as Pat Mahomes and the Chiefs offense is going to be ready to go vs Dallas, who always travels well. Prescott and the Cowboys offense will need to control the ball for a good portion of the affair keeping Mahomes off the field.
