Can the Jets Start to Stack Wins in Zach Wilson’s First Season as QB in New York?

When the Jets drafted Zach Wilson a few weeks back, the team was confident that the club was going to be able to use their first round pick to be successful starting right away – not in 2-3 seasons.

Wilson is a player who can make players ASAP, and while he’s just part of the puzzle, there’s a group of young players who everyone is counting on in 2021.

The big question will be – do the Jets have enough talent to be successful to win at least 8-9 games?

While there’s a number of great matchups on the Jets slate, including divisional games vs the Fins, Bills and Pats, the team also has a number of great games, home and away to look forward to.

Here are the 3 matchups that I’m most looking forward to in 2021:

9/26 at Denver – Wilson will get an education playing on the road asap in 2021, playing early in the season in Denver, where a LOT of young players learn the hard way how to be successful.

While it’s not all about Wilson, the team starts with their QB, and they are hopeful that the 2021 campaign can be a great start for the Jets and new coach Robert Saleh.

10/10 at Atlanta (in London) – The Jets are going to be visitors overseas when they travel to London to play the Atlanta Falcons in a AFC-NFC game in Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England. Again a new experience for Wilson and this young team that needs to learn things the hard way, but as we know if you don’t do it – you’ll never learn.

12/12 vs New Orleans Saints The Saints come calling to MetLife on December 12th to take on Zach Wilson and the Jets in a mid-December affair that could be a fun game between two teams whose offense will be tested by the opposing defense. The Jets will look to get to Jameis Winston early and often in this Christmas affair, and will look to make it a long day for him and the Saints offensive line.
