Gio Urshela Is A Legend! Yanks Will Play On!

It took every single at-bat, every pitch and every single inning of 162 game season but the Yankees finally did it. The Yankees won a Wild Card spot and avoided a crazy tie-breaker. I’m excited, but I am still recovering from an anxiety attack.

Those Damn Yankees! Such a nail bitter with great pitching and I will even give Aaron Boone the robot some credit. He didn’t push an injured Jameson Taillon too far and he actually managed the bullpen well for once. I just hope it continues beyond Tuesday.

And on Tuesday I hope we have our hero Gio Urshela on the field after he saved our season. His flying catch into the Rays dugout was the defensive play of the year in my opinion and reminds all of us all of the epic Derek Jeter catch. 

Urshela is forever a Yankee legend because of yesterday’s game saver. That was the heart and guts that we have all been waiting for this season. It came late, but it is better late than never. Now let’s pray that he is going to be okay because we are going to need him for our postseason push. We already lost DJ LeMahieu, we don’t need anymore bad news.

I’m ready for the Red Sox on Tuesday, and I really hope Urshela and the rest of the team is. I’ve always loved Urshela, but I’ve never loved him more than I do right now. This season hasn’t been easy but we’re still in this! Let’s GO!
