Baby Shower

One of Cat’s friends whom I really like had her baby shower today. She’s another Type 4– super smart, upbeat, friendly, healthy. I wish I could see her more often, actually.

In any event, we managed to get our gifts and make it to the shower on time. I only knew a few people there, but most of Cat’s friendship circle are pretty good people, so it was a nice time. Games and writing hopes and dreams and jokes for the new mom-to-be. I noticed no one wrote anything in the book they bought, so I decided to warm things up by being the first. It worked, and soon everyone was writing ideas and volunteering time.

I was wiped out by the time we got back though!

We shopped, drove the long way to the east side of the Seattle metro area, socialized with a group, and then drove the long way back. Any ONE of those things could wipe me out, but all of them together?

But I went and made it and yay for me and stuff. Bedtime!
