A "scientific" approach to UFO study; maybe, mybe not.

Preston Dennett posted this on one of the Facebook UFO sites — UFO News. It offers the organization that Bryan Sentes and Bill Murphy insist I pay attention to, as it offers what I seem to be looking for: a credible, scientific approach to the UFO phenomenon.

I’ve inputted material from the group a few times here and applaud their effort(s) to assign rigorous, scientific attention to UFOs.

But that path has taken them not very far toward a UFO solution.

UFOs are, I keep stressing, a very special. unique mystery and getting at its essence or nature takes a “new think” approach to determine what they are.

The Travel Channel, Wednesday night [6/10/20] presented several runs of its UFO series, UFOs: The Lost Evidence, airing the Betty/Barney Hill account, the Pascagoula event, and the Rendlesham incidents.

Those UFO accounts lie outside scientific scrutiny. not paranormal in nature and activity that bespeaks something totally foreign to UFO researchers, no matter how scientific they think they are.

SCU can’t help here. Philosophy neither, nor logic, as one wag suggests.

A new, brilliant approach is needed, one that eludes me but surely might be attempted by a UFO newbie, already extant or about to be, who’ll grow up to think anew and not be excited by the halo of science that SCU offers or pretends to, or any other discipline, especially those in the tired academic world.
