Janssen Vax Done, Side Effects Minor

In a lovely surprise, my body is dealing with the vaccine quite easily.

I got my “one and done” yesterday along with Cat, and she was quite anxious while I was excited. Our arms hurt a little, and I felt a little queasy before bed, but that was it.

This morning, I still felt that mild queasiness, but it was the neck and shoulder stiffness and soreness that really caught my attention. I rolled over and groaned a little. Then I got up, took my morning meds, added some Tylenol, and went back to sleep for several more hours. I was TIRED.

It’s early afternoon now, and the meds have kicked in and I had a small lunch, so I’m feeling okay. Cat and I are both a little light sensitive and sluggish.

Overall, though, so far it’s not that bad! I never know how my immune system will react (flu shots put me in bed for 3 days typically) so I was a little worried my comfort level would be down a few days, but that’s always better than getting sick “for reals.” I’m not seriously flaring or anything, so I’m pretty grateful so far.
