Dreams of Betrayal & A Gusty Day

We’re having quite the storm outside today… it is gusty as all get out! It makes me feel adventurous and excited.

So far so good on the health front. I’m very slowly trying to build up my tolerance for movement. It’s a tough road. The wind outside made me feel like dancing and so I did– rather badly, I must admit. I LOVE dancing, like I love mountain hiking, but it takes some stamina I don’t have right now. Blah.

This morning I awoke in an odd mood. I had one of those dreams that just… lingers…

I was in my 30s in the dream and friends with a minor celebrity who appears on Orange is the New Black (Natasha Lyonne if you must know) and a friend of hers was the wife of another celebrity (Mark Harmon) who had just died in a tragic car crash. She called on me to visit the widow with her to help out because she said I was good in a crisis. So “Tash” gave me a ride and I met the widow, and we were going through things in the large, luxurious home. Some of the widow’s friends arrived, and they were polite to me, but it was weird to be around people who were part of an “in” crowd. Still..! I felt proud that I could help and that Tash wasn’t wrong about me.

My mother and aunt Dora showed up! They came at me with grim looks on their faces like I was doing something wrong. I headed them off at the garage outside, and confronted them. Accusations of irresponsible behavior came at me, and it made no sense-! I was helping someone! I felt affronted and offended and was off to ask Tash to call security on them because they were trespassing. I didn’t even know how they knew where I was, but that false perception thing regarding how my family sees me was the top theme of the dream.

I woke up with my fists clenched.
