Is UFO “history” really important?

Jan Aldrich left a note on Facebook writing that “UFO History is Important.” But is it, really?
 
Jan,, along with Isaac Koi, and a few other UFO folks, fill their FB pages with reams of past UFO accounts, Jan and Isaac determined to archive as many flying saucer periodicals and detritus as they can recover.
 
And while much they recover is interesting and little known, is it truly important, in 2022?
 
We all have old books and magazines, along with newspaper reports, even some tape recordings or videos from TV showings, and YouTubeis replete with old UFO material.
 
But is anyone really scouring this cobwebby stuff, looking for an answer to the UFO mystery? Not many, I bet.
 
We have all moved on, spurred to new anticipation and thought provoked by the AATIP videos and the natural accretion of current activity within and without the UFO community.
 
All history is delightful to encounter, isn’t it? But does it matter in our daily, new struggle to understand who we are and what reality we are actually confronting?
 
The desire to reclaim, via nostalgic reminiscence, old feelings of excitement or pleasure is grist for psychotherapy of some kind.
 
As we evolve and supposedly those alleged aliens flying around in odd aircraft moving forward in their study of humankind and this planet, past events – UFO history – is a pastime, worth little, except to sate a desire for one’s youth, when life was glorious and innocent.
 
Today, we have grown up, matured – well a few anyway – and the contingencies of our present existence can be little affected by the pleasantries of past flying saucer events, no matter how hard some try to take us back to the stupidities and foolishness of what is called UFO history.
 
That history has nothing to do with what UFOs portend today – nothing!
