The Top 5 Most Dangerous Places To Be When An EMP Strikes

EMP HORROR STORIES

Commercial jets will fall from the sky across North America. Nuclear power plants will go off-line. Hospitals will become death traps. Battles over food will be fought in the streets. And that’s just day one. Welcome to the EMP nightmare.

by Mark Lawrence, Copyright © SecretsofSurvival.com. All rights reserved.

The threat of a “permanent blackout” across the United States caused by an EMP (electro-magnetic pulse) weapon has received a lot of press in recent months.

Considered an unlikely event by most people in years past, the more it has been discussed in both the private sector and the Pentagon, the more likely it has become that we will one day be attacked by an EMP, seems to be what the data on the EMP threat is saying. The U.S. government has even created a commission to address the threat, EMPCommission.org.

As a result of just one EMP attack on the U.S., in an instant the nation’s power grid will fail as anything with circuits (including most automobiles built since the early 1960s when computerized components became more standard in automobiles) will cease to work.

Trains, buses, subway systems and commercial airlines and other modern planes will cease to work also — even the 4,000 or so commercial flights (think Delta, U.S. Airways, Southwest Airlines, and many others) that are in the sky over America at any given time.

Our electricity driven society, built on a complex web of intersecting wires and computer circuits, will suddenly come to a standstill.

All Hell will probably break loose shortly after.

Chaos Following an EMP Attack on the U.S.

Why chaos after an EMP?

Imagine the world suddenly without TV, radio, phone, internet, refrigeration, microwaves, stoves and ovens, washers and dryers, waste removal, sewage treatment facilities, clean water from the tap (provided by water companies that use industrial equipment to treat water; even water that at a previous time may have been sewage) making it safe to drink; gas companies who provide heat and power gone; or of course the electric company.

Imagine each going offline — permanently.

Imagine the U.S. unable to transport food from farmland in distant states and counties — meat, dairy, eggs, produce, grain products, packaged food.

300,000 million people (the population of the United States) will quickly descend on the packaged food left on store shelves in the initial hours of the realization that an EMP had taken place.

Many will hoard — meaning, get there hands on as much packaged food as possible and then fight tooth and nail to keep it out of the hands of others who may experience panic when they see store shelves emptying and realize they don’t have more than a few days of food at home. They realize now they’re in trouble. Food is disappearing fast. Everyone is taking it.Too bad those unprepared for disaster didn’t see the signs that America (and other Western nations) are increasingly hated by nations in the world — nations with the desire and growing means to bring our nation (and possibly other Western nations) to collapse.

There will be additional panic that will become widespread across the states — a concern that grocery stores are shutting down permanently, due to the EMP.

All Food Deliveries Will Stop

With no vehicles or trucks on the road — due to the majority of vehicles’ fried components as a result of the EMP — there will be no new deliveries of food to restock store shelves as store shelves empty when there’s a mad dash for groceries across the land.

If that’s not bad enough, all foods requiring refrigeration will start going bad within just a few hours. A fully stocked refrigerator and freezer will have to be eaten in a very short time frame (frozen meats could be thawed and then smoked using primitive methods for long term food storage, so not all is lost for people who have taken the time to learn how to smoke and preserve meat — we’ve covered this in another article).Read More Here

Even after an EMP strike, pistols rifles and shotguns will remain functional — and may be useful for self-protection when the s–t hits the fan.

But not if you own a smart weapon!

Just say for a moment your car is turned off, sitting in the garage, would a EMT attack still decommission it? Than not every truck is running on the road, same goes for cars and even aircraft.

Everything that is not shielded will fry……that means electrical not humans.

And military vechiles, will not run so the forces will have to run or walk , and looking at the poice department they are all fatties and can hardly walk never mind run.?

        • Decode the World

The military is of course aware of EMP and many of their systems have been hardened against this threat.

        Yupp! It will!

A lot of diesels will still run but the lights and probably the starter will not work.

Pity the 6000 aircraft over the US flying at that time. 6000 will start crashing all over the continent. Sort of like in the movie War Of The Worlds.

It will be like a horror movie all across the country. Cars will crash into each other, emergency vehicles will remain non-functional, people will be raiding the grocery stores, gangs will start forming in weeks, hospitals will be inundated will all kinds of injured and sick people.

The old will go first and the most sick among us. Bodies will be laying dead everywhere in the next few days. People will be walking everywhere and some will become targets, zombies (people who have lost their minds) will be all over.

The military will start to appear, martial law will be declared. Families who fail to connect will be worried and frustrated. Shots will be heard every now and then, frightening people even more. Gangs will start forming. People will clamor loudly that something be done.

And I haven’t even got to the night time part yet!

Im Guessing that there are still Thousands of People who still Have vehicles, Tools , Sewing machines and other non-chipped items that would still be operable after an EMP. Foodwise we’d have to go back to the row boat style of fishing Hunting farming and Veggie growing that our forefathers had to endure. People may get killed in the first little while, but once we regain our composure we could do alot more positively than when we had everything handed to us. True we have become a spoilt brat society with a certain class becoming the Whinny ass Litigates; but once those people get their asses handed to them they either can join a work together society or Go hang themselves. Damn can you imagine what would it be like with no more rush hour smog or the sound of jets drowning out your conversation? Roving gangs; well this is where Live by the sword die by the sword came from. They can kill each other off or Groups can go hunt them down to kill them off, makes no difference to me…it aint the end.

      • Decode the World

The electricity will be out. Unless you have hand operated tools and sewing machines, or your own shielded power source, you will be out of luck. Without electricity, gas pumps can’t operate. The thing you’ll miss most, other than your car, will be your refrigerator. Without power to run pumps, fans, etc. your home will be very quiet. Even hand crank LED lights can get fried. Best to have a lot of candles around, it gets dark early in the winter.

This has been long planned by the PTB. They disassembled the power grids overlapping backup systems to ensure maximum chaos and justify a maximum national lockdown.

I read a series titled Last Light authored by Blackstock. Highly informative though fictional, maybe even prophetic. Speaks of emp like happenings, the first book opens up with planes falling from the sky. Highly recommend the series.

An EMP attack on the USA would be the best thing ever to happen to you war mongering genocidal bastards. Even better than the return of the Messiah! The rest of the world lives in hope and prays for that EMP event followed by his return!

    • ORRonin

Seems to be a lot of bad info flowing into these articles and comments. First, this whole concept of “cars crashing into each other” is pure movie hype. Those vehicles that have computer chips (almost all vehicles produced since 1986) will simply turn off and coast to a stop…with a lot of very confused drivers. Same for trains and other transportation. Sucks to be in a newer airplane, though. Modern passenger jets have the glide ratio of a brick.

There is a lot of conjecture as to whether or not non-running vehicles with computers will operate when started up after an EMP. I guess the answer is: some will, some won’t. Diesels are a lot more resistant to EMP than are gas driven vehicles.

The military spends a ton on hardening their vehicles against EMP which is a joke. All they have to do is use the older technology in all critical components. Of course they probably are not doing this because they all want to be green these days and if we get hit with EMP, green = dead. Protecting our entire infrastructure from EMP is virtually impossible. Protecting a sufficiently large percentage of our population from EMP to ensure our survival would be pretty easy and the cost would be next to nothing…but the PTB are too damn dumb to embark upon a realistic course of action, which would consist of a few simple rule changes, so most of the population is going to be screwed if a EMP occurs.

We functioned just fine as a nation back in the early 80s, before we became a micro-chipped nightmare. Believe it or not, Safeway ran just fine before computer price codes and a dumbed down work force. It would take us a few years to revert, but we could do so. We will lose a few million useless eaters during the process, but who knows, we might end up a better and stronger people.

    • Inventus

Worse case sceneario i guess, or you could add to it all the dead corpse rotting and causing all kinds of disease and what about every teenager in the entire nation commiting suicide because they wont be able to LOLZ anymore and being without any other inherant form of communication like “english”, they’ll simply fade into the dusk. But that would be fearmongering wouldnt it…lol

On a positive note, steam engines (trains) still abound, gasifiers are simple to make (i’ve made three) and they will run anything from generators to cars and old 8n ford tractors. Theres parabolic mirrors, solar panels, wind generators, hydro power has already been proven over centuries from small self made waterwheels to turbine power that can generate power for whole communities.

Ofcourse bicycles and hand crank generators will abound but you cannot leave out the trusty Horse, Mule and wagons for a multitude of task from grading roads, logging, moving produce in bulk, mail. Then there’s a bunch of old “Hams” that still use and operate the old tube-type 2-way radio’s that will not be affected. There wont be any drones or robots and monsanto will go under along with all the other multi-national corps. Hell…starting to sound pretty darn good aint it?

And far as i’m concerned my life wouldnt change except for the fact that i’d have to sleep with one eye open but then again my perimeter for 100 yds 360 degrees is, lets say…secure.
Definately have to band together just to keep the “unprepared” at bay and secure your belongings but finding 20 people you can trust might be a task easier said than done (i havent found that many yet but i expect after the smoke settles they’ll too be the ones looking for likeminded people who have prepared).

    • Brew

It would all be fixed with a week.

      • Anonymous

        Wishful thinking.

When all the electronics are fried, you need replacement part that where on a zone that where not affected. The big electrical equipment take months to deliver.

Can you survive months without electricity? Certainly not on a city.

      • Anonymous

        Probably.

But look at the bright side, you will have a lot of time to practice.

    • Wirkbot

An EMP attack will be quite bad (understatement) even if it happens at night with less planes in the air. If all of the North American power grid goes down, everyone will know someone who died or will be dead themselves in less than 3 months into the ordeal.

So I checked out the link to the empcommission.org and although there were multiple google hits for various papers and website citations the site itself is down. Hmmm…

I tried pinging the site and got the same results. The Ip address 206.188.193.141 is shared with 794 other sites. The only listed contact is [email protected]

Does it make anyone else a little paranoid that the commission to study EMP effects is not active?

    • Estrella

I have been reading about the affects of EMPs for decades. What I have not seen is any real EMP impact. I know about the Carrington event, I know about the wacky powerline event in Canada a few decades ago, I agree that a lot of electronics could be fried but… after a career as a pilot in the military, I have not seen EMP weapons, I have never seen a jet down due to EMP, we have never changed our battle plan based on EMP (nuke blast, yes, EMP, no).

So, what am I missing? Someone show me that this is a greater threat then say blast, heat, or sabotage?

    • remnant

I get the meaning of your article, but cars didn’t have computers until the early 80″s
