You will need a topographical map as your phone will not work.

These are very helpful posts and I wish anyone and everyone safety and security should all the negative predictions come to pass. However…

How many of us/you will be able to protect our/your hoardings from the rampaging mobs unless you live far away from populous areas? Still, it is only a matter of time until someone finds you, and if there is not a supportive community to band together for defense, you will likely lose everything.

How likely is it that you will retain possession of your vehicles? If you have gas in it/them, someone will want it, including police and military.

How long will you be able to retain your bicycle?

Are you thinking of hoarding supplies for future bartering? How likely is that going to happen? Someone wants cigarettes etc., they will take them.

Nobody that I have read has suggested heavy blackout curtains. What good is a generator or solar heating/lighting system when you are advertising to the rabble that you have heat and light? They will be drawn like moths to a flame. Keep the noise down on radios, etc.

Please, please, please, think of your pets. Hoard lots of food for them. They rely on you for their safety and security. In return, they give you love.
