Oregon: A Living Laboratory?

Because Oregon remained on the Union side during the Civil War, it seems to have become the go-to state to test out coming Federal government regulations. For instance, Obamacare was tested out in Oregon as a State program. And a law banning private sales of firearms (much like the proposed one now introduced in the U.S. Congress) was rushed through in Oregon with little notice to the public for comment and virtually no press coverage until just before the vote.

The use of Oregon and its citizens as a sort of “living laboratory” continues. Following the lead of California in this case, a bill to force vaccination of children—HB3063– is being rushed out with virtually no notice for public comment.

I submitted the following testimony pointing out the measure’s potential as a crime against humanity.

In Oregon, some 31 vaccines are currently slated as a requirement. Veterinarians would never give this number of vaccines to an animal! Since there have been no tests of this number of vaccines in combination, I point out that the risks of the vaccinations have not been properly disclosed to parents as the outcomes are experimental.  As such, this would violate the Nuremberg Conventions on human experimentation, which requires informed consent of the subjects.

Written testimony in support of a “nay” vote on HB3063

I’d like to voice my opposition to HB3063 and strongly urge the Oregon Legislature to resoundingly reject this pernicious bit of proposed legislation.

For one thing, the measure would defy individual choice and religious freedom.

Forced vaccination of children as proposed by HB3063 could well constitute crimes against humanity. I was a medical writer and award-winning science journalist for many years. (Editor of BioEngineering News 1980-1993.) I was one of the first to reveal the presence of SV-40 cancer-causing monkey virus in most polio vaccine batches. Over that time I became aware of the experimental nature of vaccination with the risks of said vaccinations not properly given to the general public. As such, this would violate the Nuremberg Conventions relating to the doctrine of informed consent.

There have been NO studies of the interactions of the 50 and up vaccines required for children. This is criminal as administering this cocktail exposes them to undisclosed and indeterminate risks. Note that veterinary texts advise not to over vaccinate animals—and they are talking about fewer than half a dozen vaccines.

Vaccines have substantial risks not disclosed to the general public–as evidenced by the fact that a vaccine compensation fund is necessary and no direct suits can be made against manufacturers. Some 50,000 deaths are caused by automobiles in the U.S. yearly, yet no such protections are afforded to auto manufacturers! I contend the risk of these vaccinations far exceeds those of the automobile—yet the proposed legislation fails to afford parents the option to protect their children from these hazards.

Have you ever heard of autoimmune diseases? Well, if a person has a natural immunity to a disease and is given a vaccine to that disease, serious medical consequences can follow. The body can actually produce autoimmune antibodies that attack the victim’s own tissues.

We are told there is such a thing as herd immunity. This is nonsense. Most of the “herd” is vaccinated and should be protected from the target disease. Yet, in the case of the recent measles outbreak, 3 of 4 victims WERE vaccinated. (The immunity conferred by vaccines is poor when compared with inherited immunity or immunity resulting from natural exposure as there is a natural cascade in the immune system that is bypassed when an antigen is directly injected.)

The practice of vaccinating against normal childhood illnesses is reckless, in my opinion, in that it exposes children to risks for no good reasons. I had measles and missed a week of school. Big deal. This is an emergency for which you must rush through dangerous legislation while half the state is snowed in??? And babies under one year of age have little or no immune system yet are administered these dangerous vaccine cocktails to “train” the parents to vaccinate them in the future!

Many years ago I allowed my oldest daughter to get the DPT vaccine and she had seizures for several years. Her non-vaccinated siblings are far healthier and far more resistant to disease. I would never vaccinate a child after my experiences. Another daughter had an autistic child and learned that he had an inherited disorder that would make vaccination hazardous. How many of your constituents have the means to get such testing of their children done before vaccination to get an exemption? Insurance will not pay these costs until AFTER the damage is done. And these genetic problems are far more common than most people realize. So the allowance for medical exemptions is largely meaningless as far as the general public is concerned.

Those in the medical profession are often victims of “groupthink” when it comes to vaccines. For instance, I had a nurse who insisted there was no mercury in a vaccine she wanted to give me. When I showed her an FDA data sheet showing it did contain this deadly chemical, the nurse told me it was “good mercury.” There is NO good mercury. Yet this educated professional sincerely believed what she was saying. Mercury is highly damaging to the development of the nervous system in young children, yet many vaccines contain this preservative (trade name: Thimerosol) as well as potentially dangerous adjuvants and “potentiators” such as squalene, which has been associated with so-called Gulf War Syndrome.

I respect the choice of those who wish to vaccinate their children. YOU should uphold the right of Oregon parents to make the choice not to vaccinate their children by voting against HB3063.
