My problem is I am too old to carry gold and silver around in my pockets to buy shit with. So I horde Squirrel meat and dried Hickory Nuts to use to barter with the Hopium Addicts once the SHTF. Walking all day in a Nuclear Winter with a backpack full of gold or silver will tucker an old feller out . And its really hard to make change at the Dollar Store. Trying to hack a precise amount of gold off a huge chunk after buying some Chinese Crackers or some Chinese Centrum over 50 vitamins is a pain in the ass.
