So What exactly does a Tea Party Group Stand for?!?!

I can tell you what one particular Tea Party group: Rattle With Us – Michigan stands for…

The principles forming the foundation for the Rattle With Us Mission statement are derived from the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution. Concepts embedded therein include: Limited Federal Government; Fiscal Responsibility; Right to Life, Liberty & Pursuit of Happiness; Free Enterprise; Individual Freedom; Liberty (Personal Responsibility); Equal Justice and Opportunity for All; the American Dream, and Moral Code to Sustain Liberty. Collectively, these ideas form the foundation for action by RWU. Its overall objective is to save and restore the Republic (“Representative Republic” with Democratic sub-process, not a “Democracy”).

• Declaration of Independence:
  “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights¸ that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among men deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, that whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence….”
• Limited Federal Government:
  The federal government is limited to only those powers enumerated in the US Constitution. RWU wants to restore government by the US Constitution. Examples of federal actions inconsistent with or opposed to the Founder’s Constitutional intent are: First, “sharing the wealth” via the forced redistribution of income by means of federal income taxes. This action implements into law the Marxist communist idea: “From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.” It presupposes that the government owns the product of each individual’s labor. A second example is for the Executive Branch to use the EPA and other federal agencies to in effect implement new laws via regulations or rulings, bypassing Congress and effectively violating the separation of powers provision of the US Constitution.
• Fiscal Responsibility:
  The cumulative deficit spending by the federal government has bankrupted the USA. Left unchecked, it will cause runaway inflation (hyperinflation) resulting in a worthless US dollar. These events would financially destroy the middle class, cause massive civil unrest, and probably result in martial law together with a dictatorship.

  Long Term Goals: The expenditures of the federal government should not exceed revenues on a continuing basis: “Live within your means.” Rein in the Federal Reserve and return to a sound money system, such as, based on the Gold Standard. Since its creation, the US federal government no longer controls its currency and the US dollar has lost more than 95% (ninety-five percent) of its purchasing power. The Constitution gives Congress the power to coin money.

• Right to Life, Liberty & Pursuit of Happiness:
  Individuals have an absolute right to life that comes from God, not the government. Accordingly, to pursue their dreams, individuals must be free to take actions required to sustain their life. This means they must be free to find, acquire, use, retain and dispose of material goods. These actions constitute private property rights without which men cannot be free. However, individuals may not prevent others from taking similar actions to sustain their lives.
• Free Enterprise (Free Markets):
  This is an economic system based on limited federal government and private property rights via which individuals voluntarily enter into agreements (contracts) to exchange material goods via free markets. Barter, trade, and free markets are examples of free enterprise. It is not “trickle- down” economics, central planning, socialism, communism, fascism, or crony capitalism.

  Free enterprise is based on the Western moral idea that an individual owns the product of his labor. Freedom is wholly dependent on individuals being virtuous and practicing Judeo-Christian morality in dealing with others, i.e., don’t lie, steal, mislead, deceive, commit fraud, etc. It is enabled by free markets and sound money, such as, gold and silver coins. It is viable only when individuals are moral, self-regulating, and self-governing.

• Individual Freedom:
  Freedom means Individuals are allowed to take actions which determine their fate. Under Obama-Care, individual’s no longer control the disposition, ultimate fate or final outcome of their health-care. Obama-Care substantially reduces individual freedom. Repeal it and any other legislation that significantly reduces individual freedom.
• Liberty (Personal Responsibility):
  Liberty means an individual has the freedom to take action to sustain his life, but is also personally responsible for the consequences of his actions or in-actions. (While many may have issues with their home due to loss of employment – It is not the tax-payers fault that others bought a house they could not afford, eventually defaulted, and lost their home.)
• Equal Justice and Equal Opportunity for All:
  This means all individual actions are judged according to the Law, i.e., the Rule of Law. No individual or group is above the law, i.e. given preferential treatment. Individual actions are judged according to the law, not according to judicial sympathy for personal characteristics, such as being poor, homeless, race, religious belief, a policeman, etc. Congress’ exemption from Obama-Care violates this principle.

  To facilitate equal justice, laws should be readily understood by all: ignorance of the law is no excuse. However, Obama-Care violates this principle, because it’s over 2700 pages of legalese. The federal regulations created to implement Obama-Care will be at least twice as long (5400+ pages). Ordinary citizens are at the mercy of the bureaucracy concerning interpreting, determining compliance, and imposing penalties for violations. Congress is bypassed. Court challenges are too costly for ordinary citizens to pursue.

• Merit-ocracy and the American Dream:
  This refers to an economic system based on merit, i.e., reward or punishment earned or deserved. Income inequality is a natural consequence of individual economic freedom. Some people work very hard to achieve material wealth; others hardly work. All individuals are given gifts by their Creator, but not all individuals choose to exercise their gifts.
• Opposing the Liberal Concepts of Socio-Economic Justice and Equal Outcomes:
  Liberals desire equal outcomes in income, opportunity, etc. Their concept of justice is diabolically opposed to the American Dream. It requires income equality, regardless of merit. Their concept is implemented into the federal income tax code and into Obama-Care. Thus, the law is used to “Rob Peter to pay Paul”. Their concept of justice presupposes that the government owns the product of each person’s labor.
• Moral Code to Sustain Liberty:
  The foundation of the American Experiment with self-government is Judeo-Christian morality: To be free, individuals must be virtuous: self-regulating or self-governing. The means for achieving the blessings of liberty (the end) is individual adherence to: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”, i.e., don’t lie, steal, deceive, bear false witness, etc. The outcome will be good because the means is good. However, if the means chosen by individuals to achieve a desired outcome (end) is to be deceptive, lie, cheat, mislead, steal, etc. then the outcome will be a society wherein lying, cheating, etc. are common place. Freedom cannot survive in such a society. RWU opposes the End-Justifies-the-Means moral code.
