BEDFORD — Town Manager Steve Daly resigned Wednesday after 15 months on the job.

Council Chairman Jim Scanlon would say only that Daly resigned for personal reasons.

“The town received and accepted Mr. Daly’s resignation with regret and appreciation for his service to Bedford,” a statement from the town council said. “We wish him continued success in his future endeavors.“

Planning director Rick Sawyer will serve as interim town manager, effective Wednesday.
