Roanoke Co. Board set to Prevent Heating Homes with Firewood

At 3:00 today, the Roanoke County Board of Supervisors will vote on on a law that would criminalize the burning of brush in Roanoke County.
If you heat your home with a fireplace or wood stove, you should be alarmed.
At a previous reading of this proposed law, it was stated that the reason for this ban was “pollution”, but not the kind of pollution you may think. They are talking about carbon. Yes, this law is being proposed and those involved believe they have the authority to stop the burning because of carbon emissions and global warming.
Be warned. If carbon emissions can be considered a legitimate reason to ban burning wood outside in the yard, then it can be used as the reason to ban burning wood inside your fireplace and wood stove.
If you want to protect your natural right to heat our homes the traditional way they have been heated since the founding of our country, you must show up and speak out to stop it right now.
If you heat your home with firewood, bring a piece with you to show them what they are really about to do.
