It’s The Economy, Stupid

We have the most successful economy in the world. Bidenomics is working, or so they say. Let me ask, who is it working for? When a hamburger, fries and a coke is more than $18.00 it isn’t working for you. When you have to decide whether to buy food or fill your car, it isn’t working for, as Liberals like to say, “working families”.

We were told inflation was transitory….three and a half years ago. Now they say inflation is going down. Well, not exactly. The RATE inflation is increasing has gone down, not inflation.

Numerous things are causing inflation. First, Biden banned all oil drilling on Federal land and off shore. Instead of using our own cheap, abundant, clean oil, we are now buying dirtier, more expensive oil from our enemies. Can someone explain how buying oil from another country instead of using our own prevents “climate change”? We actually can’t do without oil. Nearly everything you can think about has oil products in it or needs oil to manufacture it. Then, of course, we need oil to deliver products, for big trucks & equipment to farm & build things. So, when the price of oil goes up, so does the price of everything.

Then there is the HUGE increase in deficit spending. Sending more than $200 billion to the Ukraine (and counting), forgiving student debt (against SCOTUS ruling), the “Inflation Reduction Act” that was actually the “Climate Change Act”, leaving billions of dollars worth of equipment in Afghanistan that needs replacing, and now giving 10 million or more illegal aliens free cell phones, free air fair to wherever they want to go, free hotels & housing, free healthcare (do you get this?), debit cards with as much as $13,000, etc. Have any American “working families” received these kinds of benefits? Migrants are receiving two or three times the benefits Social Security recipients are receiving when recipients have paid into the system their whole lives and migrants have paid zero. Are you OK with that? Did you vote for that? Are you going to vote for more of that?

Another cause of rising prices is the unrealistic increase in the minimum wage. I just read California is raising the minimum wage for fast food workers to $20.00 an hour….hence the $18.00 hamburgers. Did Governor Newsom consider a trip to McDonalds could cost a “working family” of four around $100.00?

The Left keeps saying they are for the “working families” and middle class but these policies are destroying both. The “American Dream” of owning your own home is out of reach for most due to the high interest rates. In 2020 you needed an annual income of $59,000 to buy a house averaging $240,000. Today you need an annual income of $110,000 to buy the same house now costing $402,300.

Kamala Harris admits costs of living are bone crushingly high but she blames price gouging. Wrong! When you increase employee costs, manufacturing costs, delivery costs prices have to go up. No one is in business to lose money.

Harris says on “day one” she will solve the problems she has created over the last 3 1/2 years. “Day one” was January, 2021.
