Domestic Terrorist Attacks "Furries" in Chicago

Chlorine gas was released in a 9th-floor stairwell at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare, in Chicago, Illinois during the 2014 Midwest FurFest convention, also called “Anthrocon, i.e a “furry” convention  according to the Rosemont Public Safety Department (what are ‘furries’?)

The gas sickened at least 19 people who were treated at a local hospital and several thousand people were evacuated from the the Hyatt Regency just after midnight last night. The hotel was immediately decomtaminated and guests were allowed to return a few hours later.

Organizers of the event declined to discuss the incident however, according to a report in the Christian Science Monitor (CSM), FurFest organizers posted the following to their website,

“We ask you to continue to be patient, and remember that the volunteers who make Midwest FurFest happen intend to give 110 percent to make sure that the fun, friendship, and good times … overshadow last night’s unfortunate incident.” 

It is believed the gas release was an intentional and an investigation is underway.
