Delta Flight 4919 Declares Fuel Emergency, Diverts To Evansville, IN--Crash Vehicles Standing By (Picture)

As I  listened to the 911 Scanner and read uestions on Facebook aabourt why emergency vehicles were racing down the roadd toward the airport, I had all of these visuals in my head, but litttle confirmation aboiut what was happening, other than bits and pieces of info from the 911 Scanner.While local first trespnders were still dealing with domestic disutes, men threatening their mothers and stepchilden, the world was flying by at the speed of insanity.

After things calmed down, the plane landed safely and passengers departed uninjured, the local lunatics went about the business of seeing how fast they could get arrested,  So far, noone has goten shot or stabed tonight, but the night isn’t over yet,.

Airport authorities released thhis statement:

This evening Delta flight #4919 flying from Atlanta to Peoria apparently developed a mechanical issue. The crew diverted the flight to EVV as a precaution and landed safely without any problems. Our fire rescue crews as well as City emergency crews were standing by just in case. This is our standard operating procedure when an aircraft is making a precautionary landing.
