Travel is currently postponed. We are all waiting and hoping to get back to visiting and discovering new and fun places. Our travel gadgets are also being shelved. But they do not have to be.

Portable waterproof speakers are one of the travel gadgets that can be put to use while you are safely at home. Most of these speakers are able to resist water and some are completely waterproof. This makes them great for a shower where they can be soaked and submerged without an issue. Using this technology, speakers can easily and frictionlessly connect to your smartphone. The average range of Bluetooth is over 300 feet. The small portable speakers have around 30 plus feet range. So you do not need to bring your phone with you into the shower to enjoy great tunes.

While portable speakers are small, most have good sound. They would not equate to full-size speakers, but you would not want those in your shower anyhow. For the enclosed space these speakers will deliver plenty of volume to fill the space and be heard over the falling water.

Some Bluetooth speakers even have voice controls. They conveniently connect with your device’s voice control, so you can access voice assistants and take calls on speakerphone. This means that you can have Siri or Alexa take down notes for you, create or update your to-do list, add items to your shopping list, play music, and so on without any hands-on control.

Since these are designed to be used during travel, they have a compact size and some even a handle for easy holding or, for the shower, easy hanging. Toiletries
Toiletries such as small toothpaste, deodorant, and soap can come in handy at home. Especially during these times when there is a shortage of cleaning and washing supplies, your stash of these miniature products can provide the cleaning needed to stay healthy. Also, they would provide a great time buffer until standard products are back in stock. We used a few of our soaps, sanitizers, and lotions at home whenever we ran short of the supplies and the online retailers either did not have any delivery spots or did not have any in stock.

Reusable bottles
Bottles that do not end up in the landfill right after use are great for the environment and travel. They save money as you do not need to keep buying bottled water but instead can quickly refill them to hydrate yourself while touring. The reusable bottles are also great at home. We have a collection of them usually standing filled up and ready to go so we can drink water more conveniently during the day. They are also great for using during home exercise and even homework. Especially if the homework is being done in front of the computer, these bottles are closed so there is less chance of spilling and they are next to you so you are more likely to drink. They are also great for kids so they can drink water throughout the day and next to their beds at night so they do not have to run out for a glass. Make sure these are BPA free.
