Los Alamos scientists: TSA scanners will kill you!

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Like hundreds of thousands of bleating sheep, milling people at urban airports are being herded through machines that drench them with deadly back scatter terahertz radiation.

And like ignorant sheep they’re being meekly led to slaughter.

Unsuspecting airline traveler in the TSA ‘death’ chamber

Now scientists at the Center for Nonlinear Studies at Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico have discovered shocking evidence that the radiation generated by TSA scanners is unzipping–literally tearing apart–human DNA.

So the question becomes what is more dangerous: ragtag terrorists that threaten to kill several thousands, or unhinged governments that meet the threat by potentially killing millions of its own citizens with deadly security devices?

Boian Alexandrov at the Center for Nonlinear Studies at Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico recently published an abstract with colleagues, DNA Breathing Dynamics in the Presence of a Terahertz Field that reveals very disturbing–even shocking evidence –that the THz waves generated by the TSA scanners is significantly damaging the DNA of the people being directed through the machines and the TSA workers that are in close proximity to the scanners throughout their workday.

What Alexandrov and his team discovered is that the resonant effects of the THz waves bombarding humans unzips the double-stranded DNA molecule. The ripping apart of the twisted chain of DNA creates bubbles between the genes that interfere with the processes of life itself.

QUESTION: There are MANY “puddle jump” regional airports that will never have enough passengers to justify a scanner. Is EVERY passenger boarding in those airports getting the “intrusive” patdown? if not …… WHY NOT?! If these scanners are SOOOoooo important, They SHOULD BE. If the scanners are SO necessary, and there is NO scanner, then EVERYONE at those regional airports should be getting the FULL INTRUSIVE patdown. …….. if not …… WHY NOT?!
Your naked image can be on the internet before you have even stepped out of the scanner..
“I just point, and shoot, and post to facebook” that is how fast that nice TSA can use his camera phone to expose you to the world.
question ….. Does anyone know any other precedent where untrained personnel are using xray equipment on human subjects?

If, as according to Janet Napolitano, diplomats “…have to subject themselves to the same ‘basic screening’ as everyone else”, why not Members of CONGRESS?!? Why not Tim Geithner?!? Why not Janet Napolitano, who REFUSED to be scanned at the the installation of one of the new full body scanners?!?
Oh, I forgot: Some animals are more equal than others.

Technology review had an article which describes the model for DNA unraveling http://www.technologyreview.com/blog/arxiv/24331/ The original B S Alexandrov study is at http://arxiv.org/abs/0910.5294

Soon it will be “radiation here, radiation there, TSA X-rays everywhere.”

TSA’s mistreatment, humiliation and general abrasive handling of Americans at airports, may be a portent to Americans (next) getting a Boot in their face if they refuse to be stripped searched, molested or x-rayed before boarding—any form of public transportation; bus, train, cruse ship. It is obvious TSA intends to extend its reach beyond airports; that TSA will blackball Americans from using other forms of public transportation, including preventing Citizens from driving beyond highway checkpoints, for alleged security reasons. TSA appears headed toward shutting down Americans’ Right To Travel Freely in their own Country.

The Nazis used national emergency as a premise to repeatedly target, search and detain Germans boarding or taking trains considered political dissidents or morally unfit; Citizens were intentionally delayed by police/military so they would be late or miss work. As a result many Citizens lost there jobs and could not survive.

TSA’s physical searches of air passengers’ private body parts, is intimidating passengers to submit to x-rays scans. Continued Low Radiation Exposure is Accumulative and believed to cause Cancer. Meanwhile, not just pilots and flight attendants, “ordinary air passengers” should also be afforded privacy when physically searched at public airports.

The government intends to invade your bedroom. The government purchased hundreds’ of X-Ray Vans that will travel our streets without warrants, x-ray scan, see Americans naked when walking, standing and riding their bike and may—retain your scan-photos.

Government/police will use x-ray vans to peer though Citizens’ homes and vehicles, exposing Americans and their families to radiation; government will view Citizens in their bedrooms.

Americans need to ask Obama if independent studies were conducted to determine if Citizens could develop Cancer, if (repeatedly bombarded) by police X-ray scans. It is expected government/police with or without a warrant, will repeatedly X-ray scan a person of interest, in his or her home.

Obama’s X-Ray Vans can ALSO be used by the military or police to secure perimeters to control civil unrest and instances of revolt, to screen and stop Citizens carrying guns, cameras; any
item. Does Obama expect Americans to revolt?

Before everyone gets hysterical, are we sure TSA scanners even use terahertz radiation? The scholarly abstract doesn’t mention body scanners. The article posted here doesn’t state TSA scanners use terahertz energy. It’s bizarre.

Wikipedia doesn’t cite a source, but this should be considered:

“Millimeter or GHz scanners are often wrongly cited as emitting terahertz radiation. Currently adopted scanners operate in the millimeter or sub terahertz band. The use of terahertz radiation (between 1 and 10 THz) shows promise but is currently not commercially available for body scanning.”

      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Full_body_scanner#Health

Likewise, the wiki article on terahertz radiation does not list body scanners as a source.
      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terahertz_radiation#Sources

This isn’t conclusive, but the current article seems to have gaps. And if Wikipedia is correct, it suggests this B4IN article is willfully deceptive.

Can anyone give us some better tech information?
