Sound Bites

All of my posts that are labeled such things as potpourri, cornucopia, nuts and bolts, conglomeration, horn of plenty, the gas menagerie, sound bites, etc., are basically groupings of sound bites.  In other words, these are terse or pithy snippets for those with short attention spans that live only on sound bites.  Be on the lookout in the future for posts such as odds and ends, knickknacks, tidbits, this and that, collage, and jigsaw.  These too will be collections of sound bites.

Most of my posts are longer writings that provide more meat to them with citations and references.  Don’t look for much back-up material in my sound bites.  Another thing I would like to point out is that I consider myself a cyber-commentator.  Therefore, I incorporate personal thoughts, feelings, attitudes, philosophy, ideology, values, opinions, and comments in nearly all of my writings.  Where I come from is from the position as a strict constructionist constitutional conservative.  I hope that clarifies any matters of your concern regarding my writings.

Constitutional Conservatives Agenda for CY 2011

In my opinion, the constitutional conservatives need to accomplish the following three objectives in 2011:

• Stop the advance of Marxist-socialism in America by implementing the goals of “We the People of America” and the “Top 10 Planks in the Contract from America” as shown below.
• Take control of the Grand Old Party (GOP) at all levels (local, state, and national) of government.
• Defeat through the ballot box in 2012 as many of the Republicans in Name Only (RINOs) as possible.

The “We the People of America” 2011 Goals:

• Repeal the Health Care Bill
• Repeal the Food Bill
• Dissolve the worst treaty in American History, i.e., START
• Defeat the Dream Bill
• Defeat Cap and Trade
• Defeat Card Check
• Eliminate all “earmarks”
• Approve “term limits”

Top 10 Planks in the Contract from America

The top ten planks in the Contract from America are as follows:

1. Protect the Constitution
2. Reject Cap and Trade
3. Demand a Balanced Budget
4. Enact Fundamental Tax Reform
5. Restore Fiscal Responsibility and Constitutionally Limited Government in Washington
6. End Runaway Government Spending
7. Defund, Repeal, and Replace Government-run Health Care
8. Pass an ‘All-of-the-Above” Energy Policy
9. Stop the Pork
10. Stop the Tax Hikes

With the Bozo Democrats in Congress, Gridlock is appropriate and good

I think gridlock and stalemate in Congress is a good thing–particularly if the progressive Democrats continue to pass all of the ridiculous kinds of legislation they did during the recent lame-duck session.  The less they do; the less damage they do to the country.  If they will not deliberate and create good legislation, I’m all for them fighting and getting nothing done in the next two years until we can vote out the rascals and the usurper currently in the White House.

Where Have All the Leaders Gone?

We have absolutely no leaders with backbones.  They are all wimps, empty suits, and girlie men.  We don’t have any more Pattons and Reagans.  Where are our leaders when we need them?

Michelle Malkin should be placed somewhere in the next Conservative administration.  Inspector general might a good position.  She would need to work closely with an honest attorney general to ferret out the crooks, cheaters, and liars, bring them to justice, and send them to prison.  We need to fire that crook in there right now.

Political Correctness Gone Awry

Personally, I do not find the term illegal immigrant to be offensive at all.  In fact, I prefer to use a more appropriately descriptive and accurate term: Illegal alien.  Either they are legal or illegal.  If they are here and should not be here, then they are illegal.  If they have applied through the legal channels, then they are legal.  Political correctness (PC) is ruining our country. Next thing you know, these progressives will change perfectly clear words to unrecognizable words or phrases.  Such perfectly clear words that will be changed in the future may include rapist, polygamist, murderer, convict, pedophile, killer, drug addict, and you name it.  They have already bastardized such words as Global War on Terror (GWOT), handicapped, janitor, actress, congresswoman, Negro, colored, oriental, American Indian, queer, homo, liberal, and on and on it goes.    We should get rid of PC.

Look at some of these changes:

• Orientals – Asians
• American Indians – Native Americans
• Actress – Actor
• Congressman – Congresswoman – Congressman (made full circle)
• Janitor – Custodian – Sanitary Engineer
• Queer – Homosexual – Gay/Lesbian
• Liberal – Progressive
• Global War on Terror (GWOT) – Overseas Contingency Operations (OCO) – Countering Violent Extremism (CVE)

Terrorists Allowed Wide Latitude on the Internet and Training Camps in the USA

Al-Qaeda is allowed to post bomb-making materials on the Internet because of the progressives and their political correctness (PC) and support-the-enemy attitude.  It is the same with the 35 terrorist training camps across the United States.  The Obama administration says that they cannot shut down those camps that are training home-grown terrorists to destroy the United States.  It doesn’t make sense, but that’s the way the progressives think.

The terrorists are winning and taking over.  The head terrorist sympathizer lives in the White House.  The inmates are running the White House and Congress. What can we expect from a crew like that?

Either Win or Get Out of There

Either win the war in Afghanistan or get out of there.  We don’t know how to win the war, do we?  It was the same for Vietnam, and we got out of there after 11 years of wasting money, 35,000 American warfighter lives, and multibillion dollars of equipment.  Already, 9 of those 11 years have gone by in Afghanistan.  If you want to go through that same scenario, then, you too, are a slow learner.  Aren’t you?  I don’t believe in turning tail and abandoning the conflict.  However, I believe in wiping out al-Qaeda and the Taliban and then getting out of there.  If we have no political will to wipe them out, then, I say, we should get out of there.  From a Vietnam Era Vet.

If we cannot force a Western-style constitutional republic on the tribal nation of Afghanistan, then why are we there? Why are we wasting lives, money, and equipment for that senseless war?  The Bush administration is not in there anymore (if you’ve not noticed), but the Obama administration is there and, therefore, appears to be the slow learners.
