While Democrats Were Shutting Down Our Government, Mad Dog James Mattis Was at Work

Government shutdowns are pointless. They are simply a tactic that liberals use to punish people for not doing what they demand. But, the real world goes on, despite such childish antics. While the left was denying elderly people their Social Security checks and barring visitors to the Lincoln Memorial, our military was still busy. Very, very busy. So, while Democrats were shutting down our government, Mad Dog James Mattis was most definitely at work. In fact, the Pentagon just announced something remarkable, despite the shutdown.

President Donald Trump and the GOP highlighted how the shutdown hurt U.S. Armed Forces. The brave men and women who work to protect us were affected the most. They were denied pay and basic services while stationed overseas or deployed. Even a three-day shut down is brutal for the soldiers who depend on those services.

But — true to their nature — our military did not give up. Even though Congress let them down, our soldiers did not let us down. As Democrats fought to put illegals ahead of troops, our boys were at work. The Pentagon just announced that the U.S. military killed 150 ISIS fighters in a single airstrike targeting eastern Syria. That’s a huge number of terrorists dead from just one maneuver. Oh, and they did this on Saturday, during the shutdown.
