West Point News in West Point NE published an Editor’s note Aug 9 saying they dont have a daily newspaper, as this alleged 1995 article refers to. And they have no record of any news stories about Walz outside recent news he was selected as vp running mate. Of course its very possible they scrubbed all reference to such a gross story, but the editor note goes on to say Walz was born in West Point but didnt grow up there, adding creedence to this story being fabricated.
