[Losing the faith?

I jump in my car and and speed off to get to work. On my way I see many things and sometimes really never actually see them. This time I tried to take it all in. I started to notice that other cars doing the same thing as myself. All scurrying like ants off to do their duty for the ant hill. Hopefully not returning empty handed after their long and arduous tasks. Seeing some people racing past me at break neck speeds to get to their designated destinations. But, for what and why would they risk their lives and put others into jeopardy just to get somewhere a second or two faster than the next guy?

I stop at a gas station and see some fellow fumbling with the self serve pump as he fills his tank in earnest to get moving again. He rushes in to pay, then blows back quickly to his car and squawks the tires as he speeds off from the station. I get back on my way to work, now sipping a RED BULL energy drink so I can keep awake through the grave yard shift ahead of me.

I get to the plant and see dozens of people like myself huddled in the chilled wet night air trying to get one last puff on their smoke before they have to head into their assigned jobs and tasks or duties. All not very happy faces in the least. All much like blank quiet faces with a hint of a beaten down look. Not all, but most. Finally I go into the plant and get to work. As I am doing my job I am gazing around at the many others around me. All doing much the same as me, over and over again like programmed machines. The blank beaten look still in their faces and eyes are a haunting reminder for me that most of the world falls into this category.

The hard part for me is that I ask myself do they know or see the same things I am seeing? Has life burdened mankind with the need for money in a greed laced system so badly that we are becoming like those ants near that ant hill? Do we have any other options? Is this the way it should be? Do they ever ask these questions to themselves?

It just seems that we all are kept busy in order to subdue our true selves. Our full potentials are drowned out by life’s obstacles that thrown our way or we become over loaded in debt because we are told on the Television we need to buy this new thing. The system is a clever trap that we get born into and slowly get programmed to think that this is what is expected of us.

Don’t get me wrong… The working class holds the world on their shoulders and things need doing, but the world is set up in such a way that it eats away at us slowly tearing us down to remove individuality and molds us into a slave like society where the rich get richer, the powerful get more power, while the average Joe hold them all on their shoulders. It is a clever system we have that manipulates us into believing that we are okay with all this. We get tossed aside if we get injured or sick, and some break down under the pressures as well as many social problems that then arise from this perpetuated earth bound purgatory with no real pay off or brass ring at the end of it all.

This brings me to the question of faith in everything from my fellow man to the question of the existence of god even? I sometimes feel I live in a world that is no more than a prison with no bars. We are under a fallacy that we have freedoms and rights as well as happiness. It sometimes seems it is all just an illusion, and I wear invisible chains around my body that keep me from being who I must be or could be. Our lives are actually quite short, yet we spend the majority of our life span dealing with things that in the end really don’t matter. Things that are the trappings that bind us and keep us away from a true real life. But you may ask?…… What is a true real life? That is the question indeed. I really have no answer other than it may be an INDIVIDUAL thing and not a collective thing like we have now. Each person able to be able to reach their full potential or find true happiness without feeling like a drone or a pawn in a larger game of global greed.

Yes, I have lost my faith….. Not in my fellow man or in the existence of a god as I have questioned, but I have lost faith in our world system and in any hope that there may be another way to correct the centuries of this unjust and system. We say slavery has been abolished and is looked down on in the world, yet we neglect to see we are the slaves now with no shackles holding us, just a cleverly designed system that keeps us in check and busy until the day we drop dead and some other poor schmuck takes our place. (Our Children)

I don’t have any answers… I just have my feelings and the things I see and know. Is it better to be asleep rather than awake? Sometimes I feel it may be a fact that ignorance is bliss, but there is no road back now, no turning around. I have to go through life aware of the chains that bind me and my family as well as every other person on this planet. Maybe this is why I have an infatuation with the idea of an end times, or 2012 type scenarios? The idea that this world system will end and a better one will emerge from the ashes of its predecessor. One can only hope? I don’t want my children to have to be subservient to a greater power or be beaten down by life’s storms.

So there I stood looking at them all until the end of my shift holding what I know to myself. I drove home much the same as any other day, the sun rising as I am headed home. It looked beautiful. Maybe a message or a sign I needed to signify that a new era is dawning, a new day for mankind. I felt its warmth and took comfort in its symbolic meaning for me that morning.

No I have not lost the faith…………….
