Sudden Extraordinary Planetary Event Makes History
Planet Earth experienced an odd, sudden, unexpected event Saturday night in what officials have said Sunday was unprecedented and caused by human activity. It is anticipated that, due to the rate of the activity documented Saturday night, that the course of humanity could take a sharp turn.
Officials estimate that Saturday night, 7,000 people risked their lives and made history by being at Tel Aviv’s Rabin Square in what became Israel’s largest protest against its military’s Gaza massacre.
Demonstrators chanted the Earth-changing words, “Jews and Arabs refuse to be enemies,” and lit candles to commemorate the victims.
Earlier in the day, the city of Tel Aviv had already made history by placing giant screens on its beach for nationalists to leisurely watch in real time Gaza being bombed in the comfort of their lawn chairs while enjoying salt sea air.
Protesters at the event Saturday night called for an immediate end to hostilities and a prompt resumption of peace talks.
Israeli Police Defend Protesters
A group of approximately 300 rallied at the event in support of the Gaza bloodbath, with police serving as a barrier between the groups to prevent clashes. The right-wing counter-protesters were on the scene, attempting to reach the main demonstration. A large police presence circled the square to prevent the right-wingers away. arresting four of them.
Police did not, however, prevent a predicted series of right-wing attacks on human rights defenders at their homes after the rally.
Many of the chants yelled by right-wingers at the event were racist-based.
Targeted Attacks on Human Rights Defenders
As some of the key rights workers went home after the rally, they were stalked. When they neared their homes after the rally, they were attacked.
Human rights defender Avi Belcherman was among those attacked near his home last night, he said on Twitter.
Belcherman is a citizen reporter and streamer, a “social justice & human rights fighter,”according to his Twitter profile says. He is also a contributor for http://revolution-news.com/ collective, and http://www.Mekomit.co.il team
He was possibly attacked by what reporter Elizabeth Tsurkove identifies as a “Zionist Force – a new right-wing militia” that has formed. It operates in plain clothes and is organized to target individuals.
People attending the event in Tel Aviv last night knew beforehand that they were risking their lives to do so, according to tweets.
Among the courageous speakers at Rabin Square were Capt. Assaf Ya’akobovich (Res.) and Salim Tabib of Ramallah, both active in an organization devoted to finding a peaceful solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. They called for both sides to immediately put down their arms.
Giant Beach TV Screens
The Times of Israel predicted that hundreds of thousands of people would gather on the Tel Aviv beach Saturday night to watch the massacre on the giant screens placed there for that purpose.
Meanwhile, signs of the times are seen in Israel, ones indicating Prime Minister Netanyahu has not only lost every inch of respect around the world, but also even in his own country.

The war is taking a heavy toll in lives and injuries on both sides, in destruction and horror, in bombings and rockets. We answer this by taking a stand and making a demand: end the war now!
We must end the war and start talking with the recognized Palestinian leadership of the West Bank and Gaza to end the occupation and the siege and to achieve independence and justice for both peoples – in Israel and Palestine.
Instead be being drawn, again and again, into more wars and more military actions, it is now time to lead the way to dialogue and political settlement. There is a political solution. What price must we pay – the people of the South and the other residents of Israel, and the people of Gaza and the West Bank – until we reach that solution?
Together, Jews and Arabs, we will overcome occupation and war, hatred, incitement and racism – and offer a path to life and hope.
The successful historic event in Tel Aviv last night was an inspiring demonstration that Jews, Muslims and Christians are increasingly uniting after witnessing Israel cross “the red line.”

I appreciate your point. However, the price of peace is not always freezing boundaries. in WWII, Germany was not allowed to keep the lands it had appropriated. Because they lost, in that particular case. Colonies of the West did eventually become (quasi-)independent. And geopolitical power waxes and wanes as in the case of the USSR/Russia. A two-state solution with Israel giving up its illegally acquired territory would be appropriate and some Israelis want that. There are precedents for reparations as well.
Obviously you and I aren’t going to solve the problem. But I think continued Israeli expansionism will never permit peace, regardless of what anyone thinks of the Arabs.

There were indeed Christians and Muslims there chanting with them there in Tel Aviv and also in scores of other protests around the globe. That’s been the most humane and inspiring result of this atrocity – people of all walks of life seeing and condemning inhumane treatment of other human beings – and seeing through the propaganda that the war machine is feeding the masses. Yes, we can live together in harmony and yes, we each have the right to worship as we desire and have that right respected.

That report–confirmed by Hamas itself–emerged in 2012, not from the Israeli government, but the sympathetic Journal of Palestine Studies, in an article that otherwise celebrated the secret tunnel system.

I believe and correct me if I am wrong but the main issue is Hamas (the terrorist group that kidnapped the Palestinian gov’t)that is firing those pesky little MISSILES at Israel that is the issue,not the Palestinians themselves, I am sure many of them would love peace with their neighbor but their newly elected gov’t charter calls for those neighbors to be wiped off the map,so what does one do…overthrow their terrorist gov’t?
