Ferguson: KKK Reward Money For 'Hero' Police Killer Of Unarmed Youth

The Ku Klux Klan is soliciting funds for the mystery Ferguson police officer who shot and killed unarmed youth Michael Brown, 18.

The Southern Poverty Law Center’s Hate Watch blog reports that the South Carolina-based New Empire Knights of the Ku Klux Klan boasted its Missouri chapter is raising money as a “reward” for the officer.

“We are setting up a reward/fund for the police officer who shot this thug,” said an email from the Klan group. “He is a hero! We need more white cops who are anti-Zog and willing to put Jewish controlled black thugs in their place. Most cops are cowards and do nothing while 90 percent of interracial crime is black (and non-white) on white.”

An Arizona Klan chapter wrote on its blog, “We know that Michael Brown was nothing more than a punk. The media and others are painting him out to be a ‘good son’ and ‘great kid.’ The blacks of Missouri are showing their love of him by rioting, attacking and shooting people. Nothing new.”

Attempts to communicate with the Klan’s Imperial Wizard Chuck Murray went unanswered, according to Hate Watch blogger Don Terry.

Thursday, the hacking collective Anonymous, after vowing in writing to protect the people of Ferguson and to retaliate of police harmed any protester, the group claimed to reveal the name of the officer who shot Michael Brown.

Ferguson police had been reluctant to reveal the officer’s name for fear of retribution.

Social media groups claiming to be associated with Anonymous have threatened to reveal a photo of a man they said was the officer involved, as well as his home address. Edward Magee, spokesman of the St. Louis County prosecutor’s office spokesman, that’s investigating the shooting, said the name posted online was incorrect.

“We can’t let anonymous groups or even public groups pressure us into doing anything we don’t think we should do,” Magee said.

The officer’s name will be made public if he is charged, according to Magee. Even if he is not arrested, however, his name will be released after the investigation due to the high public interest, Magee added. The officer is on administrative leave.

Groups claiming affinity with Anonymous have called for nationwide protests and threatened to reveal personal information about Ferguson police officers. Ferguson police have confirmed that there have been attempts to hack their website, that it was temporarily disrupted, and the cyberthreats prompted the decision not to release the officer’s name.

Dorian Johnson, the first witness of the crime, Michael Brown’s friend, has had to move his family due to fear of police retaliation. He told officials Tuesday that the officer shot Brown “like an animal.”
