That’s interesting about the “only women get on their knees smiling”. I have pondered this for quite a few years now. The question I always had was, why do ALL the worlds organized religions hate women so? Why is the one thing they guard above ALL things is the domination and control of women? Very interesting indeed!!

Sure sounds like he sings “Omen”, another variant of that name in egypt (see all the sand ref in the video, and pyramid shapes in the video) is: amen, omen, amen-ra, the gods of egypt, perhaps?

And he sings “in the center of it all, you eye…s…” another ref to egypts very well known eye of horus, perhaps?

this “ah ah” singing reminds me a bit of rihannas “ella ella eh eh” singing. (as in “no god” in hebrew) perhaps?

“i am a black star”. As in a dark star. As in a shining object that at the same time is dark. As in something looking beautiful, but is still dark/evil? perhaps?

There is a clear reference to jesus on a cross, and at the same time, a reference of that same jesus being a strawman (for something/someone) as bowie depicts it here.

Sound like it explains what the bible said about what jesus did while being dead for three days,, perhaps?

another clear reference to this battle of evil and good might be “how many times does an angel fall” as he sings.
This is a reference to a “fallen angel” also later in the verse defined as a “black star” (evil/beautiful/lightbeing)
(sounds like a vague description of satan to me)

i am the Great “i am” im a blackstar, he sings… How else calls himself “I am” ? well, the creator/god does…
also where he claims to be the Greatest “I am” as in “the greatest god” and then he hurries to explain that he is the blackstar.

So the blackstar, earlier defined as a falling angel in the song, also referenced by elements in the video, like a bible looking book with a black star on it, the crusifiction, the clearly demonic possesed dancers, the rituals, the “fallen astronaut” (another reference to being a fallen outsider of this world, falling down onto it)
The girl with the tail, well, who is she a daughter of? Who else is known for maybe possessing a tail?

I want… diamonds in my eyes… he sings, much like rihanna, with diamonds in the sky.. what is the diamond, a reference to?
the way they sing it, makes it sound like DEMON at times… perhaps?

im a blackstar, way up, on money, i’ve got game – doesnt sound like a reference to any normal afro american person (mostly poor, or poorer, not usally way up, in the game) – sounds more like someone describing their power of influence, and money, and control.
Sounds more like a descrption of someone powerfull, and is again added to the blackstars list of attributes, in this song.

sure sounds like he describes that the blackstar was not born here, on the planet in the video, earth i guess..
and he was born from a stars, probably a white star, as he also sings he was born the wrong way around, becoming a black star, perhaps?

In the villa of omen? in the place where omen lives, stands a solitary candle. One lightbeing alone, a dark star, maybe satan, perhaps?

In the bible, Amen (another way of spelling omen in egypt) is referenced to be the witness of the creation (by god/the creator) so he seems to be outside the creation, looking at it, as a witness of its creation. Funny the references in this song sure sounds like, omen and the blackstar is in the same place, sidelined from the creation, but still, the blackstar feels alone. (so the omen seems to have a different opinion on right and wrong, from the darkstar)

I dont know, but it sure sounds rather satanistic to me… like a worship song of the black star…

Also satanists (atleast in america) uses black and white flags with stars and stripes on them, so the reference to the black star, is also a reference to the way satanists portray their country’s flag (black stars on white backgrounds)

But hey – surely he means nothing like this, probably only means good – strange video, and lyrics, to tell a good story, but hey, its artsy, and craftsy, so never mind (also jazz is said to be known as the devils music – but hey, the devils in the details here, so surely, its probably not what I read into it, or perhaps?)
