EDITOR’S NOTE: Ok, so we cant technically “beam” ourselves up just yet, but we are definitely starting to get there!

Scientists have successfully “teleported” data to a non-local space with the use of lasers to take advantage of a long known phenomenum called “quantum teleportation”, giving hope to us geeks that sometime in the not-too-distant future we will be transporting ourselves here, there and everywhere!

Until then, or at least until the public is made aware of the technology, we will have to make do with the next best thing, a “virtual” substitute if you pardon the pun, and use the Holoportation that I covered in a previous article.

As we move deeper into this new digital age, the lines between virtual and physical reality are becoming so blurred that perhaps “Star Trek” teleportation will be rendered irrelevant as people opt to assimilate further into the matrix and away from the physical world.
