Mothman Captured on Film in West Virginia!

A man just took the best pictures ever of the legendary Mothman!  These pictures were taken by a man driving along State Highway 2.  The man reports the creature was flying between the trees.

The Mothman legend goes back to the late 60s and centered around the town of Point Pleasant, West Virginia.  Numerous sightings of the Mothman were reported in the newspapers in 1966 and 1967.  On December 15th, people reporting seeing the Mothman standing on the Silver bridge that connects Ohio and West Virginia.  The bridge collapsed killing 45 people this same day.  The Mothman stopped appearing after the bridge collapse.

Many people from the area believe the Mothman is real and an omen of something bad about to happen.  They have a Mothman festival in the Point Pleasant every year and even a Mothman museum and research center.

In the pictures, the creature appears to have wings with pointed tips and long legs, bent at an awkward angle.

Point Pleasant locals such as Carolin Harris believe the pictures could be real because there have been so many other sighting over the years. 

“I definitely know the Mothman is real,” Harris said.
