Vladimir Putin is one of the first world leaders to address the threat we all face from Artificial Intelligence (AI). He rightly claims that any country who develops AI has the potential to rule over the world. This has led to Elon Musk again warning of the dangers we face due to AI.

Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke on Friday at a meeting of students in Yaroslavl, Russia about the development of artificial intelligence (AI). In a rather ominous sounding warning, the leader stated that “the one who becomes the leader in this sphere will be the ruler of the world.”

On top of this, Putin spoke of the future of warfare…..

Furthermore, Putin envisions a future where wars are fought and won with the use of drones, saying “when one party’s drones are destroyed by drones of another, it will have no other choice but to surrender.”

This led to Elon Musk taking to twitter to back up Putin’s claims & add his own thoughts. Musk has been at the forefront of warning the world about AI.
