A Day Without Migrants
How would a day without migrants look like? Contrary to what some may believe, migrants play a vital role in the global economy.
Studies show that immigrants bring growth and innovation in both the countries they come from, and in those they move to.
In the United States alone, immigrants have founded or co-founded companies such as Google, Intel, WhatsApp, PayPal, eBay, Tesla and Yahoo! Although they make up less than 15 percent of the population, skilled immigrants account for over half of Silicon Valley start-ups and over half of patents.
Most Western nations face a demographic time-bomb as their aging populations and low birth rates mean that they will have to rely on immigrants to drive and sustain economic growth. It is therefore in the best interests of these developed nations to support a safe and orderly migration.

“i am a migrant” is the UN Migration Agency’s platform to promote diversity and inclusion of migrants in society. It’s specifically designed to support volunteer groups, local authorities, companies, associations, groups, indeed, anyone of goodwill who is concerned about the hostile public discourse against migrants.
“i am a migrant” allows the voices of individuals to shine through and provides an honest insight into the triumphs and tribulations of migrants of all backgrounds and at all phases of their migratory journeys.
While we aim to promote positive perceptions of migrants we do not shy away from presenting life as it is experienced. We seek to combat xenophobia and discrimination at a time when so many are exposed to negative narratives about migration – whether on our social media feeds or on the airwaves.

We had two separate “Days without illegal aliens” in the past. The illegals believed that if they all sat at home, that Americans would be unable to so much as feed themselves. They were (on both days) completely incorrect. Couldn’t have missed it worse.
On those two days in Southern California:
- Everyone remarked how fast traffic moved those mornings. I myself got to work in 15 minutes instead of the usual illegal alien infested 40 minutes.
- The lines at fast food joints and restaurants were no longer, service was no worse.
- Even the cops were saying how easy their days had been.
Day without migrants my ass! They dilute wages at the bottom so Americans who take manual labor jobs (been there done that many times), only earn 1/2 to 2/3 of what they would if not having to compete with people who should not be here.
These wish it was tear jerking emotional arguments are so tired, they need to be put down like a dog so old he can’t walk. Guilt doesn’t “tug at my heartstrings” guilt is an attempt at manipulation of whoever is stupid enough to not let it upset them. To me guilt is a fighting word.
Do liberals swallow every time they perform fellatio? Or just the barnyard animals?
contrary to the liberal views we Americans have no problem with immigrants as we take in over 1 million every year. the problem is criminally entering our country and bypassing our immigration laws and then over 60% of these criminals live off our welfare system and drain the benefits away from Americans who need them. we as a country cannot even attempt to stem the growing and continuous tide of people that are living in poverty or being subjected to tyrants or drug gangs taking what little they have. they must stand up for their rights in their own countries and take back the freedoms they deserve and not expect America to freely give them all they do not have. they have been told by liberal orgs. that America must give them the things they want and are financed by these same liberals to traverse thousands of miles to get here. the liberals goal is open borders and then completely give up our sovereignty as a nation just to satisfy globalists but if they continue pushing these open borders then we Americans will let them see first hand how much we like being American. there will be no open border but these foolish liberals will find out what the penalties are for treason and sedition.
