Smith & Wesson Delivers New M&P380 Shield EZ Performance Center Models (VIDEO)

Sporting tuned actions and ported barrels, Smith & Wesson on Monday unveiled three new M&P380 Shield EZ Performance Center models.

The guns — which are offered with a choice of black, gold or stainless accents — all use a 3.8-inch ported barrel, flat face trigger, and HI-VIZ Litewave H3 Tritium/Litepipe sights. To trim weight down to 18.5-ounces the series uses lightening cuts in the slide as well as an anodized aluminum trigger and grip safety.

Although with an overall length of just 6.9-inches, the .380 ACP-chambered handguns still have a Picatinny-style rail on the dustcover and an 8+1 capacity.

“Performance Center has always been recognized for its ability to add custom touches to factory firearms, and the Performance Center M&P380 Shield EZ represents exactly that – custom features, built right in,” said Tony Miele, GM of the Performance Center. “When designing this product, we set out to maintain all of the easy to use features that have made the M&P380 Shield EZ wildly popular, while adding in a custom Performance Center touch.”

The Performance Center M&P380 Shield EZ has an MSRP of $502, which is only about $100 more than the standard model that comes with plain white-dot sights.
