Christian University protests faith-based VP Mike Pence

Liberal Arts university takes the word “liberal” more seriously than “Christian”

Taylor University is a nondenominational Christian liberal arts school that appears to take the word “liberal“ more seriously than its commitment to Christianity. There was a student and faculty walkout protesting Vice President Mike Pence just prior to him delivering the commencement address, beginning with these words:

“Throughout most of our American history it’s been pretty easy to call yourself a Christian, but things are different now,” Pence said. “Lately, it’s become acceptable, even fashionable, to malign traditional Christian beliefs. So as you prepare to leave this place and build your life on a Christ-centered, world-engaging foundation poured here at Taylor University, be prepared to stand up.”

Founded in 1846, Taylor University has veered far from its original roots. Its admission page urges applicants to learn more about how God could use you during and beyond your Taylor college experience, but there has been a disconnect, based in the promotion of the homosexual agenda as some students affixed rainbow signs and stickers atop their mortar boards, “We are Taylor too. ” They said the message represented “support for marginalized people hurt by the Trump administration’s policies,” clearly demonstrating their lack of knowledge.

The majority of the 494 graduates did not leave and greeted the comments by VP Pence, a former Indiana governor, with applause and a standing ovation. But the fact that there was a protest at a faith-based school is indicative of the radical leftist popular culture invading even what should be regarded as strongholds for normalcy.

While the university’s website addresses its commitment to Christ, some students suggested a more appropriate speaker would be South Bend Indiana mayor and long-shot Democrat presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg, married to another man.

Next weekend V. P. Pence will deliver the commencement address to U.S. Army cadets at West Point military academy.
