Pangolins Are Weirdly Amazing Creatures and Sadly Endangered (Video)
by N.Morgan
Pangolins are considered one of the world’s most heavily trafficked mammals roaming the Earth.
These defenseless little beings are being slaughtered to extinction – simply to meet a demand based on superstitions and exploited by greed.
Experts warn that the illegal trade in Pangolins will render them extinct within our lifetime – yet most people have never heard of a Pangolin!
Pangolins are mammals of the order Pholidota.
The one extant family, Manidae, has three genera: Manis, which comprises four species living in Asia; Phataginus, which comprises two species living in Africa; and Smutsia, which comprises two species also living in Africa.
Pangolins have large, protective keratin scales covering their skin, and they are the only known mammals with this feature.
They live in hollow trees or burrows, depending on the species.
Pangolins are nocturnal, and their diet consists of mainly ants and termites which they capture using their long tongues.
They tend to be solitary animals, meeting only to mate and produce a litter of one to three offspring which are raised for about two years.
Pangolins are threatened by hunting (for their meat and scales) and heavy deforestation of their natural habitats, and are the most trafficked mammals in the world.

Hello Angle#3,
Charlie here. Yes, I have heard of the Pangolin. I just remember they secreted something “stink”, but I did not know the baby Pangolins rode on their mother’s tail. It looks a bit awkward and doesn’t look right.
Well, we had a Negro “President” (he was illegal and unqualified) and that didn’t look right either.
BTW, I am familiar with The Dodo people (similar name ya know). Years ago some diet “dicktators” tried to shut down our doughnut operation claiming it’s making people fat and I presented clear evidence that they make people happy. VERY happy. Strangely, when they left the office I gave them each a box of doughnuts and never heard from them since.
Well, out of that scare came “The Dough-Dough Nut” project. We educate people about doughnuts. How to reheat them, calculating doughnut per person, what to do with leftovers and what not. We even had their favorite stories about doughnuts and how it empowered them.
BTW, the category about “Leftovers” was eliminated, as we found out nobody EVER had leftovers. And phew, calculating doughnut per person was very hard. It seemed endless.
Signed,
Charlie (going off to China to make Mangolin Doughnuts. Wish me the best. Yes, they will be very crusty)
Pink Slime,
Your comment caused me to chuckle uncontrollably for a good while.
Thanks!
